My interactions with Japanese people have undoubtedly left an indelible mark on me. I learnt more about Japanese culture and people just by observing and talking to them during my brief visit than in the months of reading I did preceding my trip. People here went out of their way to help me with directions despite the language barrier, and I was really overwhelmed by this kindness.
Shopping around Japan is another experience in itself. You can find almost everything, from everyday goods in the 100-yen shops to luxury items in the high-end boutiques. Walking around the streets, I would find vending machines everywhere, selling anything from a pin to an umbrella, a hot drink to a soba.
Looking back on my memories, visiting Japan was a wonderful experience, and I’m really looking forward to visiting again sometime soon.
