This bar somehow finds room for a comfy-looking couch

It's surprising and impressive how much they can fit into such small spaces

It's fun to sit outside on a warm evening

It doesn't even take half a minute to walk from one end to the other

I hope the neighbours at the end don't mind a bit of noise

One of the most fun places to hang out of an evening in Kakegawa must be Honjo-dori, a short alley lined with tiny bars, ten on each side. You can get a good range of food and drinks, all reasonably priced, and enjoy an intimate, convivial atmosphere; each place seats no more than about ten people, though on warm summer nights I'm sure there's some overspill. It has to be be a perfect place to go bar-hopping!
