In March, Higashiyama is lit up by thousands of lanterns that guide the visitors for an unforgettable night walk through Kyoto’s famous neighborhood.
Our visit coincided with the end of the school year and many girls came in kimono to celebrate their graduation with a trip to Kyoto. The neighborhood is already wonderful during the day and the lanterns added a touch of magic to the place. An unforgettable walk!
