I had never heard about this temple before I actually went to Miyajima to see Itsukushima Shrine and Mount Misen. When I finally visited the Daisho-in Temple grounds, I was so deeply impressed that I was wondering why nobody had ever mentioned it to me. The setting of the various temple buildings is quite dramatic and I felt like I was walking through a different world.
