A special event taking place at the Akita Museum of Art looks at works from the collection of Masakichi Hirano, an Akita-born art lover who spent his life collecting a wide variety of artworks. This event will focus on pieces that depict flowers and birds, and includes works from Tsuguharu Foujita, So Shiseki, and Ishizaki Yushi to name just a few.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 310 yen.
The Akita Museum of Art is located 10 minutes on foot from the JR Akita Station, served by the Akita Shinkansen, the Ōu Main Line, the Uetsu Main Line, and the Oga Line.
For those who opt to drive to the museum, it's around a 10 minute drive from the Akita-chūō IC on the Akita Expressway. Do note that there is no dedicated parking lot at the museum, and patrons are advised to park at the nearby Nakaichi Parking Lot.
