วัดอิชิเตะ-จิ (Ishite-ji) ในมัตซึตยะมะ (Matsuyama) รู้จักกันในชื่อวัดที่แปลกปลาด และพื้นที่โดยรอบวัดก็ยังค่อนข้างแปลกปลาดอีกด้วย บนเส้นทางเดินไปยังวัดจากศาลเจ้าอิสะนิวะ (Isaniwa) ในโดะโงะ ซึ่งจะต้องเดินผ่านป่าไผ่ ก้อนหินของที่นี่มีหน้าเป็นมนุษย์ ประตูทางเข้าที่ทำด้วยไม้ ตั้งอยู่ท่ามกลางป่าไผ่ และเจดีย์ที่ยืนโดดเดี่ยวบนยอดเขา มันดูมีเสน่ห์แบบแปลกๆ
